This 1/2 scale reproduction of Maxwell's Dynamical Top finely handcrafted from solid brass and tool steel stands just over 5.5" high and will delight both the discerning collector and the historical scientific enthusiast.

Fully functional with 9 adjusting screws, an adjustable axle and brass bob, finished to a high level by skilled artisans, it makes for a beautiful display piece as well as a functional demonstration of Newton's laws of motion.

While not its intended purpose, the dynamical top can also demonstrate forced precession. Touching a patterned piece of wire to the steel tip results in the tip tracing around the wire due to the resulting torque experienced.
